Czech Castle Collections: ART! MUSIC! THE BUSINESS OF CULTURE! Join us in Prague for 2 weeks in May.
From Museum Studies
Join us for an exceptional insider view to preserving and presenting cultural collections! We’ll discuss art, music, architecture, history, and business. Participants will have a number of privileged hands-on and behind-the-scenes experiences with objects and buildings, as well as discussions with experts in various roles within the Lobkowicz enterprise. It is unusual to have such access to museum holdings and staff.
The spring semester course MM 290 will take place entirely after spring break on Wednesdays from 3:20 to 5:00 p.m. The summer short course MM 291 includes time in residence at Nelahozeves, a Lobkowicz Castle, and time in Prague visiting the Lobkowicz Palace and other cultural sites. Dates for the trip are May 16 to 29, 2027. The trip fee will likely be about $4300, including airfare, housing, site visits, and some group meals.
This course is offered by Kathryn Blake (Museum Studies) and John Bukowski (Math and Music). Please contact blake@juniata.edu or bukowski@juniata.edu with any questions.
