Job Description:

The Student Video Editor supports Advancement's storytelling efforts through post-production editing and content creation. This position transforms raw footage into compelling videos for social media, websites, email campaigns, events, and other institutional communications. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Student Video Editor creates content that highlights the impact of philanthropy and shares the stories of students, alumni, donors, faculty, and the broader Juniata community. Responsibilities include managing video assets, editing short- and long-form content, incorporating graphics, music, captions, and branding elements, and ensuring projects align with Juniata College's visual identity and communication goals. This position provides hands-on experience in digital storytelling, project management, and content strategy while supporting constituent engagement and fundraising initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

·       Edit raw video footage into finished promotional, informational, and storytelling videos that support Advancement communications and fundraising initiatives.

·       Create short- and long-form video content for social media, email communications, websites, and other digital platforms.

·       Trim footage, arrange sequences, and ensure smooth pacing and transitions.

·       Add music, graphics, captions, lower thirds, and branding elements.

·       Perform basic audio enhancement and color correction.

·       Organize and maintain digital video assets and project files.

·       Export videos in formats optimized for various platforms.

·       Incorporate feedback from staff and make revisions as needed.

·       Manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines.

·       Ensure completed projects align with Juniata College's visual identity, brand standards, and communication goals.

Required Qualifications

·       Current Juniata College student in good academic standing.

·       Experience using Adobe Premiere Rush or equivalent video editing software.

·       Strong communication skills and ability to accept constructive feedback.

·       Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
